Kazakhstan Branch of the Poets International Pen Club was established in Almaty
The first board meeting and founding ceremony of the Kazakhstan branch of the Poets International Pen Club was held at the Kazakhstan Writers' Library in Almaty on July 15. At the meeting, Duken Masimkhanuly, a member of the Executive Committee of the Poets International Pen Club, first introduced the grand occasion of being invited to attend the first Poets International Pen Club congress and founding ceremony held in Bangkok, Thailand, and read out the Poets International Pen Club's charter and its purpose of "peace, freedom, and thought". The conference elected poet, translator and orientalist Duken Masimkhanuly as president of the Kazakhstan branch of the Poets International Pen Club, poet, literary critic and academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bauyrzhan Zhakyp, poet and member of the National Committee of Kazakhstan Vyacheslav Vavilin as vice president, poet and philosopher Muratkhan Shokan as secretary general, Adilgazy Kairbekov, Murat Shaimaran,Zharas Sarsek,Yerlan Zhunis,Sayat Kamshyger,Bakhytgul Babash,Yerbol Beilkhan,Aigul Zhumadil,Kamil Mamukadz,Dauletbek,Baitursyn,Baurzhan Karakyz as directors.

Muratkhan Shokan At the founding ceremony, Huang Yazhou, Vice Chairman of the Poets International Pen Club and the Sixth Vice Chairman of the Chinese Writers Association, read out a congratulatory message: "On the occasion of the founding of the Kazakhstan branch of the Poets International Pen Club, on behalf of the Poets International Pen Club, I would like to extend my warm congratulations to the Kazakhstan poets! I hope that after the founding of the branch, the mutual understanding and exchanges between international poets and Kazakhstan poets will be further strengthened, so that the brilliant and colorful Kazakhstan poetry will spread all over the world through the stage of the Poets International Pen Club!" Han Qingcheng, Director General of the Poets International Pen Club, conveyed sincere greetings to all members of the first board of directors of the Kazakhstan branch and the participating poets.The congratulatory videos of the Executive Secretary of the National Writers' Union of Kyrgyzstan, Irysgul Ziyat, and the member of the Uzbekistan Writers' Union, the poet Fakhriddin Hayit, were played.
Some of the Poets in the Conference More than 30 well known poets from all over Kazakhstan attended the founding ceremony. The poets said that they would actively participate in the activities held by the Poets International Pen Club around the world in the future, so that the flag of Kazakhstan's poetry will fly high in the world poetry arena.
