The First Golden Pen Award 2025 of Poets International Pen Club

To honor a diverse range of poetic voices, the Golden Pen Award 2025 will present multiple distinguished prizes:

1.Lifetime Achievement Award (1-2 persons)

The highest honor, recognizing a poet whose work embodies poetic brilliance, depth, and universal significance, have made important contributions to the development of their own country's poetry and world poetry;

2.Outstanding Poet Award (3-5 persons)

Honoring an esteemed poet for their enduring contribution to the art of poetry,having published personal poetry collections reflecting the latest creative achievements in 2023-2025;

3.Avant-garde Poet Award (3-5 persons)

Celebrating a poet whose work challenges conventions, explores new forms, and expands the boundaries of poetic expression in 2023-2025.

Eligibility & Submission Guidelines

Open to poets of all nationalities, writing in any language but the entries must be in English (including poems, bio etc).

Translations are welcome; however, they must be accompanied by the original text and translator’s permission.

Poems should be submitted as a Word or PDF file, formatted in 12-point font.

A biographical note and 3 high-resolution portrait photos must be included.

The Lifetime Achievement Award 

will be selected from recommendations by poetry organizations or Poets International Pen Club. Each recommended candidate submits 10 poems.

The Outstanding Poet Awards 

will be selected from recommendations by poetry organizations or by poets themselves. The candidate must provide a personal poetry collection (3 copies) published in 2023-2025, an PDF version of the poetry collection.

The Avant-garde Poet Award 

will be selected from recommendations by poetry organizations or the poets themselves. The candidate must provide a personal poetry collection (3 copies and an PDF version) published in 2023-2025, or  screenshot of a published poems (no less than 20 poems).

Selections

Poets International Pen Club will invite internationally renowned poets to form the "Golden Pen Award" selection committee, which will be responsible for the preliminary and final selections;

The winners will be announced in September 2025.

Recognition & Publication

Winners will receive a trophy and a certificate;

Winners will have their work published in World Poetry magazine;

Selected poets may be invited to participate in literary events, readings, and panel discussions organized by Poets International Pen Club.

Award Ceremony

The award ceremony is planned to be held in November 2025, and the winning poets will be invited.
