Martha Collins is the 2020 recipient of the Poetry Society of America's William Carlos Williams Award for her book Because What Else Could I Do (University of Pittsburgh Press). This is Martha Collins’ tenth book of poetry, whichwas published in the Pitt Poetry Series in early fall 2019.

Because What Else Could I Do is a sequence of fifty-five untitled short poems, almost all of them addressed to the poet’s husband during the six months following his sudden and shocking death. Perhaps best known for her historical explorations of sociopolitical issues, Martha Collins did not originally intend to publish these poems. But while they are intensely personal, they make use of all of her poetic attention and skills.
《因为我还能做什么》是由55首无标题短诗组成的，几乎都是在诗人的丈夫突然去世后的六个月里所写。玛莎·柯林斯因其对社会政治问题的历史探索而闻名，因此她最初并不打算发表这些诗。虽然它们具有强烈的个性色彩，但却都展示出了作者的诗学敏感和技巧。

问候大河原老师昨晚阅读论文，搜索有关威廉斯的信息时偶然发现，然后就在亚马逊购入了该诗集电子版选译了几首。也让国人了解下类似口语诗在当代美国的接受情况

就觉得无标题很奇怪，原来如此。很口语
