如果生不如愿，至少！尽你所能
不要低贱它——
过多地淹没在人群
喋喋不休，或盲目奔波
不要低贱它，拖着它这儿那儿游荡
把它抛掷给聚会的空洞
或交往的苍白，直到它有了你再也
无法拖动的沉重
As Much As You Can
And if you cannot make your life as you wish,
Try to do this at least,
as much as you can: don’t cheapen it
with too much contact with the world,
with too much activity and chatter.
Don’t cheapen your life, dragging it here and there,
exposing it to the daily nonsense
of social network and gatherings
until it becomes a dead weight that you can carry around.
日落之海

父亲多么苍白，在水中
似乎一生都在游动，狗刨式的泳姿
呼吸急促，露出窘迫的笑
他消失以后。很久，我动荡在大海边缘平滑的水浪里
一座小山脚下，我从未见过
或者只是我的想象，当太阳开始沉落
夜鸟尖啸，和孩子的叫喊
相呼相应。越过水面
一道一道，血色的海浪跃出，击中了我
Sunset Water
How white my father looked; in the water
all his life he swam; doggie paddle
holding hurried breaths; steering an embarrassed smile
long after he has gone I rock; in smooth waves near the edge of the sea
at the foot of a hill; I never saw before
or so I imagine; as the sun is setting
sharp evening birds; and voices of children
echo each other; across the water
one by one the red waves out of themselves reach through me
