八一将至思绪飞，
Eight one as I approach,my thoughts fly
八一南昌起义惊雷响，
Eight one the thunder of Nanchang uprising
军旗从此在天空中高高飘扬，
From then on,the military flag fluttered high in the sky
一腔热血撒疆场，
A cavity of hot blood scattered on the battlefield
战士们的热血丹心染红了军旗。
The soldiers blood and heart dyed the military flag red
万里长征播下了火种，
The long March soued the seeds of fire
八年抗战斩杀豺狼。
Killing jackals and wolves in the Eight year Anti Japanese war
百万雄狮过大江，
Million lion cross big river
灭掉了蒋家王朝。
Killed the Jiang dynasty
八一军旗红似火，
Eight one banner red like fire
战士抢险救灾美名扬，
Soldiers are renowned for their rescue and disaster relief efforts
保家卫国真勇士，
True warrior of Defending the country and protecting the family
国家日渐富强，
The country is becoming increasingly prosperous and strong
雄狮劲旅坚如铁，
The mighty lion is as strong as iron
捍卫山河固边防，
Defending Mountains and Rivers and strengthening Border Defense
军民携手共创千秋业，
Military and civilian work together to create a prosperous future
和谐社会写华章，
Harmony society write Hua zhang
百姓享安康。
