Red flags fluttering on jinggang shan
星星之火可以燎原
A single spark can start a prairie fire

Eight—year war eight year of the war of Resistance Against Japan

勇士们追穷寇
Braves chase the poor
埋葬了蒋家王朝
Buried the Chiang dynasty
让中华大地翻天覆地
Make the land of china shake the earth
镰刀斧头砸烂了旧世界
The sickle and axe smashed the old world
人民当家作主站起来了
The people have taken the lead and stood up

让人民永远铭记
We will remain forever grateful to
有一艘红船在航行
Where is a red ship saihing
它给人以力量给人以精神
Giving or having the power to give life and spirt
