He's the one who brings a lamp with him
He lights himself and shines himself
It's unnecessary for him to have the moon shone on him

The one who has his own lamp, which
Hangs high above his own darkness
Being his own holy lamp

Seven Days, or a Fable

The first day, we feel the sunshine seemingly
So we open our eyes but not fully
The second day, we look around while nothing has changed
And we go on with sleeping and dreaming
The third day, we are painfully awakened by ourselves and the world
Then try to get up to stew a kind of Chinese medicine
The fourth day , we give up the efforts to self-help and saving the world
The fifth day, we keep on covering our heads and pretend to be asleep
The sixth day day, we fall asleep truly and thoroughly
The seventh day, we begin to rot and be smelly
From our skeletons, there grow flowers cluster by cluster

七日，或寓言
 
第一日，我们似乎感受到阳光照在身上
于是睁开惺忪的眼晴
第二日，我们瞅着四围依然故我
继续沉入梦乡
第三日，我们被自己和世界痛醒
想起身熬一味中药
第四日，我们放弃自救与救世的努力
第五日，我们继续蒙头装睡
第六日，我们真正而彻底地睡了过去
第七日，我们开始腐烂、发臭
从我们的骨殖上，长出一簇簇鲜花

再读了原诗，第一句“自带灯盏”，也许不是指带着自己的灯，而是指“体内自带灯盏”（就像说有的人自带光 ...

是的，应该这样理解。他的“灯”应是一种自我信仰。是否可增译如：He who has his own lamp inside his soul

再读了原诗，第一句“自带灯盏”，也许不是指带着自己的灯，而是指“体内自带灯盏”（就像说有的人自带光芒，那意思），因为第二行是“点燃自己”，，，那翻译是不是再考虑下呢？与你探讨～
