Mid-Autumn Moon
In fact there is only one
Hung where none can reach
Though it's as if there is a moon each
For those that gaze
When father passed
He took half
From then on, mother could only ever see
A halved moon
Taichi
At the river bank
An old man is practising taichi
Gently pushing the setting sun, outward
Then cradling it back, inward
Always in time
Saving it from rolling into the waters
Using his hands, shoulders
Sometimes his strand of white hair
He catches and lifts the falling sun
Light from the swirl of his arms
Temporarily stops the darkening sky
Cherry Blossoms
I came at a time when the cherry blossoms bloomed
I wedded on a night when the cherry blossoms bloomed
I died at a time when the cherry blossoms bloomed
O cherry blossoms
My first cry
My virgin's blood
My last words
