我们相遇
在一场鸟鸣的
细雨中。
五十年过去，
爱不过是这个世界里
时间奴役下的
一瞬。
她曾年轻；
我在亲吻时
闭上双眼而睁眼时
看到她的皱纹。
“来吧，”死神说，
选她作为他的
伴侣，跳最后
一支舞，而她，
这位一生中
所做的一切
都带着鸟儿般
优雅的女子，
此刻张开她的喙
发出一声叹息
不比一片羽毛更重。

We met
           under a shower
of bird-notes.
           Fifty years passed,
love's moment
           in a world in
servitude to time.
           She was young;
I kissed with my eyes
           closed and opened
them on her wrinkles.
           'Come,' said death,
choosing her as his
            partner for
the last dance, And she,
            who in life
had done everything
            with a bird's grace,
opened her bill now
            for the shedding
of one sigh no
            heavier than a feather.
