Every fallen leaf carries a shadow
Wobbly

The wind picks up
With an insensate stone I press the soul

Chilly as waters in the fall night
Under streetlight a tuft of grass likes a yellowish areola, fuzzy

Crickets chirr in the cracks of the ground, on and off
Puzzling over their fortunes
