蜀滴血、两滴血、三滴血
雪中其梅花
着北国怒放

也是夏天
南后街雅热！雅热
人家斋真闹热
省亲、借书、对句
两株梅树
着郎官巷盛开

菜市口→郎官巷
是雪？是血？是梅花
白遘血色！红遘白雪雪
蜀声、两声、三声
“伊何人？我何人？”
生会见，死再见

方言注解：
1、雅凊：很冷。
2、遘：到。
3、红丹丹：形容颜色非常红
4、生晶：亮晶晶。
5、蜀：数词，表示“一”。
6、人家斋：私塾。
7、白雪雪：形容颜色非常白。

New saying of Two Plums in Langguan Alley
(written by Rong Cheng, translated by Lin Qing）

Beijing in 1898
Though in summer , it was pretty cold.
What white snow , just like crystal! It looked so red in the white.
one drop of blood, two,
A plum stood in the snow
blooming in the north.

Also, in summer
it was rather hot in South Back Street.
How lively the private school was!
People were busy visiting relatives,
borrowing books and making couplets.
Two plums were in full blossom in
Langguan Alley.

Caishikou towards Langguan Alley
Snow? Blood? Plum blossoms!
They appeared so red in the snow!
They turned out to be whiter in the blood!
a sigh, two, three
Who is he? Who am I?
Meeting in the crowd, see you again in the heaven.
