Galaha
We turned over and over again
The four sides of the kneecaps
As if trying to see them through
Playing happily
The two human children didn’t care
Whether the kneecaps in their hands
Were taken from the body
Of a lamb’s father or mother
The game had both wins and losses — God
Sometimes on her side, sometimes on mine
The parents of the lamb we loved
Were lowering their heads and eating
White dots moving slowly across the field
God never seemed to be on their side
