踏空

窗外扑棱棱一阵响
是一只黄雀在竹枝上踏空
它轻盈的身体踩在一根更轻盈的枝头上
某个环节就多了一分不可承受之重

多么熟悉又诧异的事物
闲暇时忍不住看天看云
雨却突然阻止我们打开庭院
出门在外，也常常警惕一些路口
爬坡向上，重心又往往滞后

这些多么熟谙的场景
我们每天做着黄雀一样熟练的动作
有时也会一不小心踏空

有时幸好拥有翅膀
有时幸好不是在悬崖

Missing a Step

Out of the window was the sound of the flapping
Of a sparrow missing a step
With its light body on a much lighter bamboo branch
which couldn’t stand its weight

What a familiar and amazing thing
At leisure we can’t help looking at the sky and clouds
While in a sudden the rain stops us from opening the yard
Being out, for some road crossings are usually watched out
As climbing up a slope, we always set the gravity backwards

Those are the scenes known for sure
Just like the sparrow we do everything skillfully every day
And sometimes may miss a step carelessly

Sometimes it is lucky to have wings
Sometimes it is lucky for not being on the cliffs
