It goes faster like running
It travels farther and covered vaster
It carries heavier, such as rice, bodies
And a pine needle which is like a sword
It can hear slighter sounds
Its own breathing is blocked, though
He can smell a cumulonimbus cloud approaching
The drumsticks of its tentacles strike the earth with a long sound
It struggles harder and resists more persistently
It resists bending and corrosion
It resists fear, aging and death
What it can’t get rid of is finally
Shaken off by laying down its life
Like a horse unsaddling before saying goodbye
With a huge transparent coffin placed between heaven and earth
Countless ants
Keep on travelling where it has even run

In order to pick a heart-shaped leaf

The wild walnut trees were green and lush
The patterns cast by the sun shining with mysterious beauty
The fruits being so round
I couldn’t believe there were gullies buried in their bodies
I’d met him here more than once
The shade was dappled with light
The stone under my buttocks was warm
He was breathing quickly and smelt of sweat
His eyes with reasonable fear and sadness
I handed him a cigarette
His shadow almost shone in the smoke—
This young me, his love
And bravery, were beating strongly in his chest
I patted him on the shoulder
Rather like an old father
Turning around, my heart was full of kindness
And despair
